E-Learning or Homeschool?
Since August 1st, I’ve been praying, thinking researching… e-learning or homeschool? I already knew the answer.
My ADHD Self: Wake up every morning and wait for assignments to come online – print what I can print – keep up with the zoom meetings – stick my kids in front of the computer for 6 hours (because 2 hours of work is actually 6 hours of chaos and tears for us based on the end of last semester – oh and we’re adding a kindergartener this year!) …..So my choice is to live day to day in complete chaos that I did not create myself? ……oooooorrrrrr
My ADHD Self on MEGA MODE: LIVE DAY TO DAY IN THE BEAUTIFUL CHAOS THAT I CREATE BECAUSE I COULD JUST HOMESCHOOL THE KIDS…ALL THREE OF THEM (preschool, kindergarten and fifth grade). BECAUSE… I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STREGNTHENS ME! THIS MEANS, WAKING UP EVERY MORNING AND GOING WITH GOD’S PLAN AS HE SHOWS ME HOW TO TEACH MY CHILDREN IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE COMMON CORE STANDARDS FOR EDUCATION!
….and there it is…
I am definitely walking by FAITH and not by s i g h t on this one.
Everyone’s journey is different and there is a lot of work involved, yes. However, I have always been one to jump into things at the last minute because ADHD (the gift is that pressure produces results!). It’s like once the light goes on…it’s hard to turn it off. By hard, I mean impossible which means it’s really good to go with the light because I know it’s from God. It has by no means been an easy decision buuut….I remind myself all of the time…IF GOD IS FOR US WHO CAN BE AGAINST US! GOD IS FOR ME. GOD IS FOR YOU. HE IS WITH US. HIS PLANS WILL NEVER FAIL.
